Women’s Center Celebrates 40 Years with New Name

In 1979, MARR expanded its services from working just with men and began working with women struggling with alcoholism and addiction, starting what would eventually come to be known as the Women’s Recovery Center.

To celebrate over 40 years of continued dedication to helping women find lasting recovery, the center will now be known as Traditions Recovery Center for Women. We believe the word “Traditions” highlights our commitment to our tried-and-true clinical methods along with the family atmosphere that has established us as a leader in the addiction treatment field. The name “Traditions” also speaks to our dedication to the 12 Step model and our commitment to continue to pass on MARR’s legacy to future generations.

Our other women’s program will continue to be referred to as Right Side Up Recovery Center for Women and Children. Established in 2001, this program provides services for women with their children as well as treating individual women.
