Anicia then furthered her education at Valdosta State University, becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2021.
Work History: Anicia started working at MARR in January 2020. Prior to that, she worked at Ridgeview Institute, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and in a private family practice setting. Alongside her work at MARR, Anicia continues to work as a Psychiatric NP at CHOA.
“I began working as a nurse in the pediatric transplant program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in 2002. In that role, I noticed that a lot of the problems affecting the patients’ parents were mental health-related. This inspired me to go back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner, and eventually a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Through my work in mental health, I ended up with a special interest in the addiction treatment field. I love working with the clients at MARR, alongside the rest of our medical team and clinical teams, to achieve their goals in sobriety.”
